I have been a writer and editor for more than 30 years in newspapers and marketing, which I have fully enjoyed.
For almost 30 years I have lived in Wooster, Ohio, where I work part-time on my church’s bulletin.
I have been the content writer and parent portal coordinator the past three years in the marketing department at Ashland University and the bulletin editor for my church, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wooster, Ohio, the past two years.
Before working at AU, I worked in the newspaper industry for 30 years. After graduating from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, I worked for four years in Red Wing, Minnesota, at the Red Wing Republican Eagle as a sports writer for two years and then the sports editor for another two years. From there, I moved to Ashland, Ohio, to become the sports editor for the Ashland Times-Gazette, where I had that position for five years, followed by special sections editor/copy editor/ feature writer for 14 years and then news editor for six years. When the T-G combined with the Wooster Daily Record a year into my job as Ashland’s news editor and I also became the DR’s news editor.
